I just love pansies.  I always have, always will.  Years ago I owned a pressed and dried flower business -- I planted, picked, pressed/dried flowers and made them into pieces of art.  Pansies were among my favorite flowers to use.  Purple pansies rock!

When the middle eastern chaos broke out a few weeks ago, I saw a compelling picture online of a Bahraini woman in grief. It just stopped me in my tracks. So I broke free from a literal interpretation, and the painting turned into this. May there be Peace on Earth.
